Hood's Chapel plans Homecoming service | Community News - Berkeley Independent

On Sunday, Sept. 29 Hood’s Chapel United Methodist Church will be having Homecoming. They will be celebrating 140 years of worship service. The service will be at 11 a.m. and lunch will follow in the fellowship hall.

Hood’s Chapel invites all who have attended the church to come and join in this celebration.

Members always welcomes anyone to attend their Sunday Worship at 11 a.m.

Daycare Celebration

Providence Baptist Church Daycare will be celebrating their 23 anniversary on Sat., Aug. 24 from 11:00a.m. until 2p.m. Macedonia and surrounding communities have been blessed to have had so many children and their families ministered to, prayed for, and loved on, through the church daycare. Providence looks forward to what God is going to do in the years at the church and daycare center.

They will be celebrating the 24th with a water-slide, a cookout, games and other activities. Providence Baptist welcomes anyone who doesn’t have a home church and invites you to join them for Sunday school at 9:45a.m. and worship service at 11a.m. They are also praying for teachers and students as they begin their new school year.

Condolences

The community sends their sympathy and prayers to the family of Melba Graves. She passed away on July 10. Melba touched so many lives and she will be missed more than words can say.
